Skip Hire

This section shows all the basic information of both ordering and using a skip.
  • What should I know when ordering a skip?
First of all, it’s important to know which wastes are allowed and not allowed in the skip. When your skip is delivered and whenever it is possible, the driver from West Coast Environmental Service will briefly inform you of what wastes can and cannot be put in the skip. These wastes are sometimes referred to conforming and non-conforming wastes. The driver will also be able to advise you of what can be done for those wastes not permitted in the skip. When full and before the skip is uplifted it will be inspected to check if there are any non-conforming wastes. If it is noticed that there is non-conforming wastes in the skip, West Coast Environmental Services will ask you to remove them and will advise you of the proper route for their disposal.

To know more about what waste you can and cannot place in a skip, please open the following document.
